TRAVEL EDGE: When to use:
Travel Edge is not something to do for a full coverage density, it’s really for things like sketch style designs, trapunto (debossing, where a void allows material to push up through an open area) or other low density blending options. Other than that, wouldn’t try to use it for most fills of full coverage densities. It makes incredibly short stitches at the edge of the fill which aren’t going to behave well necessarily at high density levels. Used for the sake of avoiding cutting across a design (sketch, no underlay) to preserve the artistic intent. Travel (Edge) is found approx page 170 of the manual
